Policies

We, the faculty at the PZDA, are committed to offering our students the very best in dance education. Upon enrolling at the PZDA the following terms are agreed to by the student, parent, and teacher. After reading these policies, the parent must sign the student’s registration card. This obligates the parent and student to adhere to these rules and regulations.

1. A $25.00 registration fee is due upon registration. ($40.00 per family).

2. Tuition is divided into eight payments at the beginning of the months September through April. If payment is made after the fifteenth of the month, a $10.00 late fee charge will be applied. There are no refunds or transfers in monies paid. If tuition is past due, the student will not be allowed to participate in class.

3. Withdrawal from the studio is required in writing. Otherwise, you are responsible for the current payment period in which you are enrolled.

4. Costume prices are as follows and due in full by November 1st. Pre- School, Kinderdance $70 (one costume) Elementary $140 (two costumes) All other costumes are $85 each, (non- competitive) These prices above are complete and include tights. Costumes will be given out sometime after April 15th, and only when costume and tuition bills are paid in full.

5. All competition team members are required to have a $300 deposit upon registration and a second payment of $250 by November 15th. You will be notified of balances and/ or credits as needed.

6. Make-up classes will be offered for any class missed through May 1st. Classes must be made within three weeks of missed class, otherwise the lesson is forfeited. Please check with your teacher for times. Make-up classes will be scheduled for any lessons canceled for inclement weather. Cancellations will be listed on WTAG and WSRS, as well as the studio answering machine one hour prior to the class starting time. Make-up classes are offered for your benefit, since full tuition is due regardless of the number of classes taken during any tuition period.

7. Three observation sessions will be scheduled throughout the year. Notification will be posted at the studio.

8. The PZDA is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage of personal property. Each student is responsible to inform the instructor of any physical limitation which may prevent full participation in class and also may decline to participate in any activity which they deem harmful.

9. Studio Rules: - No smoking in the building - Check office for posted notices - Office phone is used for emergency use only - Water and healthy snacks are allowed in dressing area. Please be considerate and clean up properly. - No one is allowed in the studio without an instructor, unless special permission is provided from your teacher.

11. Please understand the importance of being on time for the beginning and dismissal of class. Each student is entitled to the full lesson time. If the teacher has to stop the class for a student arriving late, this cuts into class time for other students. For safety reasons, please pick up children promptly at the end of class. Students will not be allowed in class once class has been in session for 15 minutes.
