Our lessons are planned so that dancers will be safe and feel secure.  We strive to give individual attention and encouragement.  As a caring staff we want to promote self discipline and develop proper dance skills.  In the end, we want our students to experience success and develop a positive self image.

Courses & Schedule

    Course Descriptions and Durations

    Talented Tots - Age Two

    This class will encompass creative movement, basic floor exercises, and basic ballet and jazz movements. No tap shoes are worn at this level.
    Each class is 45 minutes in Duration.

    Pre-School - Ages Three and Four

    This class introduces the student to all three disciplines of dance (tap, ballet and jazz) through creative movement and instructional lessons. Motor skills, balance, memory, and cooperation are accomplished at this level.
    Each class is one hour in duration.

    Kinderdance - Ages Five and Six

    This class is a more structured extension of the Pre-School class. Students at this level are exposed to basic dance movements and combination of steps in tap, jazz and ballet.
    Each class is one hour in duration.

    Elementary - Ages Seven, Eight and Nine

    This is a ninety minute class, with thirty minutes of instruction in each of these areas : ballet, jazz and tap. This is a preparatory program designed to lay a solid foundation so that each student may progress in his/her knowledge of dance essentials.
    Each class is 90 minutes in Duration.

    Intermediate through Advanced

    At this point each student is evaluated for placement in various level "team" classes. Age ability, and interest are all considered by our qualified staff.

    Intermediate 1 - Purple Team

    • 45 minute Ballet
    • 1 hour Jazz
    • 30 minute Tap
    • 45 minute Hip Hop/Tumble

    Intermediate 2 - Green Team

    • 30 minute Tap
    • 45 minute Ballet
    • 45 minute Jazz
    • 45 minute Hip-Hop/Tumble

    Intermediate 3 - Pink Team

    • 1 hour Ballet
    • 1 1/2 hour Jazz
    • 1 hour Tap
    • 1 1/4 hour Modern
    • 1 hour Hip-Hop/Tumble
    • 30 minute Vocal

    Intermediate 4 - Blue Team

    • 1 1/4 hour Ballet
    • 1 1/4 hour Jazz
    • 1 hour Tap
    • 1 hour Hip-Hop/Tumble
    • 1 1/4 hour Modern
    • 30 minute Vocal

    Intermediate/Advanced 1 - Aqua Team

    • 2 hour Ballet

    Adult Information

    Overview

    PZDA has many the following options for the Adult dancer. Jazz: 90 minutes in length and is for the intermediate level dancer. The Combo Class: 90 minutes in length, this class is a 45 minute Ballet Barre with 45 minutes of Jazz for the low intermediate dancer. We also offer a Yoga class for all levels. Zumba is coming in the new year!

    Performance Opportunities

    Annual Spring Performance:

    Every student will be invited to perform in the annual spring performance (recital). You may decline this opportunity. Please see the studio director for an opt-out form by November 15th. Otherwise you will be charged for the students costume and assume the responsibility of participation in the annual spring performance. Each student who participates in the spring performance is expected to attend any and all rehearsals leading up to the date of performance. They also must commit to regular attendance in all of their dance classes. They must follow all rules and regulations regarding the spring performance. Everyone except the participating student is required to purchase a ticket to attend the annual spring performance. This is done on a first come first serve basis. Tickets go on sale four weeks prior to the scheduled event. Tickets can only be purchased if your other studio accounts are paid in full. Please note that there are no refunds or exchanges on purchased tickets. The ticket price will be available once a location is chosen. Performance date and location will be given as soon as it becomes available.

    Other Performance Opportunities:

    Throughout the year, students may be asked to perform at various occasions, fundraisers or charity events. This is done by invitation only and is open to all ages and levels.
